[It's admittedly been a while since Amane's been to one of these things-- either the weather wound up too miserable, or his body was having a bad health day, or an unfortunate mixture of both. But he was feeling better than usual this year (more so than he had in months), and while the drizzly, misty rain wasn't ideal festival-going weather, at least it wasn't the scorching heat or the torrential storms that usually plagued the city in the summer. And that was a plus, wasn't it?
One would think he would immediately be all over the other game stalls upon arrival (or at least loading himself up with festival snacks), but nope-- instead, he's parked squarely at the katanuki booth, clad in a fairly simple black and red yukata with a Teki-Terra mask perched upon his head, bent over one of the delicate candy wafers on the table. Slowly, carefully, he picks away at the outline, doing his best to be cautious around the more delicate corners, until...
CRACK.
His shoulders slump as he picks up the broken edge of the wafer, a pout crossing his face as he observes the damage.]
Awww... I almost had it this time, too.
[After about half an hour (and some successful cut-outs), Amane seems to have had his fill of the booth-- or, he would, if he wasn't in the midst of tugging on the sleeve of an identical boy, clad in a purple jinbei, hunched over a growing pile of completed wafers with laser-sharp focus. His twin's eyes are glued solely to the outlines on the candy, the needle in his hand scratching around them with an almost scary intensity.]
Tsukasa, c'mon, we were going to hit up the yakisoba stand next, remember?
[*scritch scritch scritch*]
... seriously, you've done like-- fifteen of these already. That's enough for now, right?
[*SCRITCH SCRITCH SCRITCH*]
... Ugh, Tsukasaaaaaaaa! I don't wanna be here all night!
[*SCRITCHSCRITCHSCRITCH*]
[Letting out an aggrieved sigh, he lets go of his brother's sleeve, eyes glancing through the crowd for a familiar face or a means to escape. It's not like he wanted to ditch his sibling or anything, but he also didn't want to be stuck at the katanuki booth for three hours... again. Someone help?]
festival - too much swag in my bag
[Whether he managed to dodge out of Katanuki Hell by tagging along with a friend, or just finally up and left Tsukasa behind, Amane's going to exploring the festival in earnest, dropping in on all sorts of stalls to try his hand at the games. Some he's decent at, while other's he's abysmal (those darn goldfish never seemed to stay in the scoop!!), but over the course of the night he winds up accumulating all sorts of goofy swag prizes that he's not entirely sure what to do with. Some of them he's definitely keeping, while others he's all too keen to give away, sorting through his collection of things at the wish-making tables while munching through his vast assortment of festival food.]
Want one? I got way too many of these.
[.... yeah, he's sure offering you a fan with this weird ass thing on it. A-At least it isn't one of the massive stuffed toys, though?]
dream sphere - I'M BACK IN THE FUCKING TREE REALM AGAIN??
[Perhaps Hanako should have seen this coming, after all of those strangely vivid dreams over the past week, but... surely this sort of thing didn't happen twice, right? It was all just a huge coincidence?
But... nope. Here he was, back in this stupid field, surrounded by Dreamers and non-Dreamers alike, staring down this huge honking tree yet again. The look upon his face is unreadable as he stares up at the majestic mass of branches, gaze silently traveling higher and higher as if he's sizing the whole structure up. Finally, he turns towards whomever is nearby, a blithe smile that doesn't quite reach his eyes fixed upon his features, as he asks, quite non-chalantly:]
Hey, you got a lighter on you?
[HANAKO????? NO!!!!!]
dream sphere - dreeeeeeam loverrrrr
[When he isn't debating arson, however, Hanako's going to take to patrolling with some of the others around the perimeter of the dream, deliberately keeping himself away from the great tree in the distance. He learned his lesson last year, thank you very much!!! It was already bad enough that people had poked through his head during his Disturbance-- he didn't want more of his heart out on display for others if he could help it. Of course, the patrolling is more or less a formality-- it's quiet (almost blissfully so, after the past few months) and just a touch boring, getting his eyes to wander to the sparkling sky more than a few times, murmuring:]
At least the stars are nice out here, though...
[But, of course, the tricky Tanabata tree won't be denied so easily, and while it doesn't necessarily replay it's slideshow of anguish from last year, there is one repeat that flickers into view when he least expects it-- Amane walking along Moon Bunny Market hand-in-hand with a girl, giggling and chatting as they check out the stores and enjoy one another's company. The girl's silver hair flutters in the breeze as they stroll along, the green tips sparkling in the light as she turns to him, smile bright and sweet as her attention is on him and solely him, and--
...... wait, isn't that girl... sort of familiar?? Those thick legs certainly couldn't be confused with anyone else's, that's for sure.
Hanako's head slowly swivels around, his cheeks bright red and his mouth agape, and... is he embarrassed?? Could Dreamer Hanako actually GET embarrassed?? Holy cow.
Before anyone can fully take in the sight of this UR Flustered Hanako, however, he lunges forward, his hands grappling to cover the eyes of whoever was unfortunate enough to see this, his voice rising to an almost hilariously desperate pitch.]
STOP!! STOP LOOKING!!
[OH GOD THIS MAY HAVE BEEN WORSE THAN THE ANGSTY STUFF AFTER ALL]
