⭐ Who: Colette Brunel, open
⭐ When: September
⭐ Where: Exploring and settling into the city/school life after moving in in general, so. Around??
⭐ What: Colette just settling in in general.
⭐ Warnings: May include mentions of illness?
Tomoe-24:
[They. Did not have so much of this kind of thing back home. Or, well, they might have one smaller convenience store, not with this much variety. Colette can't help but to stare at the options. As if taking a moment to choose. She says this aloud, softly, more to herself but someone else nearby might overhear her as she exclaims:]
I didn't realize there were so many different kinds of options....this place has so many! I haven't tried this one before? I wonder if it's tasty? Or if I should try that one we had back home I know.....? Maybe...should I eeny miney....?
[Colette.....you just wanted a drink and a little snack while out and about....don't over think it....]
Pegasus Arcade:
Wow....!!
[Colette has heard of the idea of arcades but it isn't something they really had back in her small village out more rurally. So of course she is amazed, distracted by all the lights and sounds of so many games at once. She is initially just observing, noting which games seem popular or ones she might have at least vaguely heard of if not played herself on a home console. She might come over to have a look at some of the games, one that might be more popular with others playing.]
I think I heard about this one, but I hadn't tried it myself.
Dog Walking:
Caramel! Wai -- ah!
[Colette stumbles as she walks her dog, a golden retriever, who excitedly bounds over to whoever might be walking the other direction. Caramel stops right in front of the other person, glancing up at them as if expecting pets. Colette ensures a tighter hold on the leash, apologizing.]
Ah, sorry. She's just really friendly and excited seeing all the new people since we moved here.
[Colette explains, reaching a hand briefly to pet Caramel behind the ear. ]
Aquarium:
Aw, look at them!!
[Colette is easy to please, to say the least. Admiring the different fish and aquatic life. Back home there hadn't been an aquarium so she hadn't gotten the chance to explore like this, to see these creatures up quite so close. She giggles as one of the fish come right up against the glass, pressing her face up against it too.]
I want to go see if they have starfish too....!
[She is on her own exploring. Having reassured her father and grandmother she would get in touch if she needed them with her phone. She has yet to start really making friends to be able to get them to come along as she starts getting settled, but surely that would come in time. As she checks the map and tries to figure where the starfish are and possibly bumps into someone.]
Ah, s-sorry!
Hakuchou Dance School:
Ah, maybe....? It does look like fun! I am kind of clumsy though....
[It's nice to daydream? Colette isn't sure if it might be a good idea to try something like that given her being such a klutz. That there would be a higher chance of her tripping and hurting herself somehow. Let alone with her medical issue. Whether she would realize unless someone else pointed it out if it was something more visible. Still, she does make note of the option being there at least, when she spots the building from outside.]
Yumemigaoka Kitties:
So cute! I'm more used to dogs, but cats are cute too!
[Colette is.....just a tad biased in loving dogs. Just a little. But she does have to smile at seeing the cat café when she is out and about exploring and taking in the city. She knew of the idea of cat cafes, but had never actually been to one before herself. She is kind of tempted to go in and get a little something while enjoying the cats, as she approaches the window and gives a wave to one of the cats sitting at the windowsill.]

dance school;
Maybe it depends on the kind of dancing you're doing? Don't give up on it this early, though! At least give it a try. [Her glance across to the other girl is encouraging, if a little curious.]

[But Colette can still daydream. That she could manage to be that coordinated. That she could dance and move so freely without worrying about tripping and hurting herself. Between how clumsy she can be and that she can't feel when she does get hurt. It's. Not the best combination. But the idea of dancing is still somehow tempting all the same.]
Ah, but it looks fun!
no subject
I'd like to suggest trying it anyway, and maybe it'll help with your balance? But that might be irresponsible of me. Eh, ignore me, it's really not my place. I'm sorry, I'm over here running my mouth... [Oh, heavens, just shut up Lisa-]
no subject
[It would be good exercise, and probably fun though. If Colette were to give it a go. She's just mindful depending on the dancing there might be some sort of costumes or uniforms or the like and that might show the usual bruises at her legs for example.]
But ah, it's okay! You're just trying to help! Encouraging and reassuring me....
no subject
[.....still, she peers into the window again.] It does look like fun, though. [Sideways glance.] Looking for something fun to do, then? Or just out for a walk?

[More choices. More stores, more activities. More access to so much. Colette is still coming to terms with it. Still figuring it all. It would take time but she would manage. She would get there in figuring this city.]

[A beat passes, Lisa visibly considering her next move. How intrusive does she want to be with this girl she's known for three minutes and has no connection to otherwise?]
What did you do for fun back home, then? I'm kind of a homebody with my hobbies, shopping for them aside, but maybe we can find something fun for you. If you don't mind a bit of a hike, we can explore around here, too. There's some neat stuff right nearby.
no subject
[Colette is unsure if that should be intimidating or exciting that there is so much to do and see here. In comparison to her little village back home before moving here. She gives a shrug as she considers the other's questions.]
Hm. Well, there was school, you know. The usual. I'd sometimes bake treats for my friends. We'd hang out and chat, eat Genis's cookies...nothing that exciting really. It wasn't like there was nearly so much like here to have so many options. But I don't mind. If there was something you wanted to show me?
no subject
I'm almost done with school, but for now I definitely get you. Baking, though... that's one of my hobbies, too. [A sad smile.] If it weren't a billion degrees I have a few cookie recipes I want to try, and we could swap notes. But I'd melt trying it now... maybe next month, when fall comes and I can look at my oven without turning into a puddle.
[Lisa pauses.] Well... I want to swing by the World Market at some point and see if inspiration strikes me for dinner tonight, but I was also thinking about a trip up to the botanical gardens. Do either of those sound like fun?
no subject
[Colette doesn't necessarily mean that any baking has to be done now. Not when it is so hot. To consider the idea of an oven. To cook or bake or have anything hot right now. She pauses then, considering the other's offer.]
Either sounds fun. Maybe the gardens a little more. But. I wouldn't want to keep you from figuring your dinner though.

[She nods brightly at the other girl's careful vote.] I have ingredients in the fridge at home, I just had a little bit of the not thats looking through it after school. So it's totally okay! I'll figure something out. [A smile over to her, to prove it's fine.] The gardens sound good, then?
no subject
[But yeah. Maybe once it is cooler. Given the heat. It's not ideal to bake right now when it's already so hot out without using the oven. Still, Colette gives a smile in return at that. She totally does get that feeling, sometimes having it herself, when she has food at home but it isn't necessarily what she feels like having in that moment.]
Yes! The gardens then.
no subject
Mm! Here, we'll go this way. It's not too far, but it'll be a little</> bit of a walk from here. [She waves a hand in the right direction, then turns to start walking.]
no subject
[Still, she gives a nod, agreeing and starting to head with the other as she waves to gesture the direction of the gardens. As the other starts walking. It's easy enough to follow along, doing her best to more or less keep up with the other.]
Lead the way.
no subject
By the way, I probably should have introduced myself before now, ahaha… I’m Lisa. Imai Lisa.
no subject
[Still, it is easy enough to follow, to walk alongside Lisa and let the other lead the way to the gardens. She can't help but to giggle, giving a nod and a small smile that the other seems to agree on having a sweet tooth as well. Colette did have a penchant for fruits in her recipes a lot for that reason.]
Ah! Right. Introductions...I'm Colette! Brunel, that is.

[It isn't like Colette doesn't get distracted herself. Usually by dogs but also with chatting to people sometimes. That the other has 'friendship cookies' is kind of cute though.]
Friendship cookies? That does sound cute. Nice. I hadn't considered that. A little sort of ritual or treat once you make friends with someone like that.

[Maybe not even specifically making cookies but. Something special to commemorate the new friendship at least. The idea is worth considering, perhaps. Now that Colette is meeting so many new people here.]
