[Compared to Ango's chocolates, a big bowl of soup is the easiest thing in the world to cook... but it's not about fancy ingredients or an elaborate presentation, it's about gathering all your friends around the table and talking while the pot simmers. It's not the kind of thing you can eat alone.
Ai's probably only suggesting it because she's concerned about his mental health after his loneliness literally spawned a Night Terror... but he doesn't mind the ulterior motives.]
Maybe I can get Maki-chan to authorize a budget for some shabu-shabu meat if we call it a team-building exercise.

[ Not that they necessarily NEED anything expensing if Ai gets it into her mind to fund this, but - well, scraping together ingredients and the like is part of the fun, isn't it? ]
Maybe we could spread the word and see what everybody likes. I think I've run out of favours this month when it comes to chocolate but if I promise a sponsorship or an ad read to the right person, I bet I could get us some pretty fancy meat...

Hey, if we've got any leftover chocolate after Valentine's Day, we can always throw that in, too! It works surprisingly well with a spicy curry soup base - really brings out the richness of the flavors, you know?
[...The problem with Ango's culinary skills is that he inevitably starts experimenting like he's a celebrity chef with his own cooking show. At least adding dark chocolate to spicy foods is a legit cooking hack... some of his concoctions (like the time he made a strawberry cheesecake hot pot) have been less successful. But hey, you can't make an omelette without breaking a few eggs!]

[ Now this would be the point at which someone with culinary expertise or, you know... common sense would intervene but unfortunately for just about everyone about to be involved in this, Ai possesses neither of those in any great amount. ]
I'm not really good with anything spicy, but... hm, if it's not too spicy, maybe I could give it a try anyway? [ She wrinkles up her nose, looking a little worried. ] Actually, there's a point... we should probably figure out what everybody can eat before we start organizing it. How much do you want to bet Maki-chan's got some cross-referenced list of everyone's allergies somewhere?
