[She thinks on it over a drink of her tea. After what probably feels like a long moment to Shinsha, she finally places it back down.]
Dreamers in Disturbances, to an extent, don’t want to be found, do they? A Dreamer’s arrival is bad news - it means they’ll be made to confront whatever it is they’re running away from, whether they’re conscious of it or not.
[This is purely going off previous instances; she doesn’t know Amane well enough to guess his behaviours.
Of course, this isn’t an answer Shinsha wants.]
But they’re also dangerous places. As your friend, it could be he’s doing this to protect you?
[Shinsha nods slowly - everything Mari-san says makes sense, as much as they hate to admit it.]
I think you're probably right.
[They set their cup down, not trusting their trembling hands to not spill tea all over their lap.]
Amane is... sicker than he's willing to admit. At first I thought he hid his Dreamer identity for the same reasons I hid mine - because he didn't want to be judged by others, or because he didn't want to risk letting anyone get too close. But... I think it's really because he wanted to protect everyone from the pain of losing a friend.
[Mari isn't one to miss the small details - and she notices the trembling of Shinsha's hands as they explain. Clearly, this is a lot for them. They're doing well to be as composed as they are, she thinks.
And what they come out with - well, that's mighty interesting.]
Could this be the reason he's hiding in the Dream Sphere?
I think so. He talked about escaping into the Dream Sphere once before... but I didn't listen to him.
[They'd been so upset at the thought of Amane disappearing that they didn't ask for details. Of all the times for stupid, useless emotions to cloud their mind...]
And he mentioned that his brother got lost in the Dream Sphere for weeks when they were children, even though his brother isn't even a Dreamer. So I think this is something that's been on Amane's mind for a long time.

[She drains the remainder of her tea.]
It’s difficult to hear all this and only be able to watch from the sidelines. So I can imagine how you’re feeling.
[Still, she smiles. Polite and friendly. She always smiles.]
Is there anything else you think we might need to know?
