[Hey, maybe it's a family place, Bruno sure wouldn't know!]

The Camellia's still technically a family business. Except it's the Yugi family instead. The proprietress is very kind and does most of the cooking here. It's got a very homecooked taste to the menu.

[Not that they don't have these things in Colombia, generally, but not so much in the Encanto.]

Were you from a more rural area? Where there aren't as many chains? [he's a city boy, living a city life...]

[Where did he say he was from? Does that make sense geographically? Well, the kid's probably not going to google it.]
So not that easy to get in and out. Most everything was local businesses.

[Keiwa just continues to take Bruno's poor attempts at hiding his identity at face value...]
Is it common for people to leave? Or- [a pause as he realizes that his question might be a little too invasive] Oh, if it's something personal, you don't have to answer!

[That's...fine. It's true that people didn't often leave the Encanto. Fortunately, Bruno never really had to deal with the consequences; he never told anyone he was going, and everybody probably thinks he just vanished into the Dream Sphere like people do sometimes. When you think about it, he sort of did.]

Though it's good to get a different perspective too. How does it go? 'Some things stay the same'?
[how similar Camellia is to Milk Dipper is up for debate though. Keiwa, like most of the girls in his family, seem to have a concerning amount of air headed optimism]

[And he probably wouldn't have, if he were just some normal person. His reasons weren't exactly the normal ones, he guesses - ambition or wanderlust or whatever.]
But it's, um. Been fine.

[he laughs a little sheepishly] The idea of moving away from my family was scary enough, I can't even begin imagining what it would be like moving out of the country. So I think it's pretty admirable.

[He did not have a good time after leaving home. Not until he came here, really - Yumemigaoka actually has been more-or-less fine. Especially after getting settled; he never really settled down anywhere else before that.]
I-it, um. It was. Not something I ever thought I'd do either. I just, uh. Guess I thought I needed a change?

Going from a small, rural town to a city is... Quite a change, isn't it?

[He adds, remembering that this is generally a good excuse!]

I guess that makes sense. It would make... Acclimatizing? A bit easier. [smile] Hopefully things continue to improve for you. If you need any help- The DU can probably provide more help but we should help each other anyway.

[Granted: he secretly lives in a supply closet in the basement. But that's a lot nicer than most places he's lived after he left home! And anyway, even though he's managed to hold onto his job, getting stuck in the Dream Sphere like that only proved why it'd be dangerous to be somewhere else - imagine if he'd missed rent or something, and people had found him like that? No one can ask you any questions if no one knows who you are or really anything much about you!]

Only 'kind of'?
[Keiwa? Teasing? It's rare, but it happens every now and again]

Heh heh...I don't know if I've ever TOTALLY had my feet under me. Doesn't matter where I am.

[it's around now that he realizes he's still holding the pot of coffee (still hot but steadily cooling)]
Ah, sorry, I should probably not bother you while you're relaxing and I'm on the clock...
no subject
[It! Sure does! He inexplicably lives in Japan now!
But, oh, crap, he's also being a bit of a nuisance]
Oh! Yeah, yeah! Go work, have, uh, fun...?

Thank you! If you need anything - like a refill - just give us a wave.
[he gives Bruno a small bow before scurrying off, mindful to keep some distance between himself and the tables with the teenagers. Wouldn't want to get roped into another conversation before he got to put the coffee pot back...]
