Q&A
...and that's how you defeat a Torment made entirely of swiss cheese and regret!
[Zeke Genbu may be only one of the experienced Dreamers asked to take part in the Q&A session at the DU building, but the rest seem to have abandoned hope... since he's got one boot on his chair, one boot on the table, and a presence that basically shuts them all down. His finger flicks over the assembled, until he lands on his next promising young Dreamer (or just curious passerby).]

Hey There, Dreamers!
[The Dream Sphere sphere 'party' is a place for Dreamer Chaosbringer to live it up a bit! He has to dress at least somewhat normally as a government employee, to his eternal dismay, but on this side the true glory of his giant sword, flowing coat, and immaculate skirt show off the true wild energy that is Zeke! Genbu!]
[And perhaps to the horror of those Dreamers who are shy -- he absolutely isn't, roaming about the Dream Sphere like he owns the place and greeting everyone whether he knows them or not.]
Torment Hunt! (Closed)
[The Torments aren't subtle. Not here in the Reflection Glades, where they're utterly out of place and out of their element -- they must have wandered in from somewhere else, as Torments found here almost invariably do. Thus, Zeke can hold his three wards back at a safe distance, beyond the Torments' notice, and point them out.]
[Pointing them out by pointing a giant sword might not be the best way, but they get the message, right?]
These are small fry as Torments go, but don't let that fool you. They're still Torments, and you'll be jolly sorry if you forget that. Still, you should have the ability to handle them. I want you three to just do whatever comes natural to you, and engage.
Excursion! (Closed)
[Water sloshes around Zeke's boots, but never in; not only are they high, but the excessive number of belts make them virtually impenetrable. Considering the only way out of the city and into the unknown is by wading on submerged tracks, could his ridiculous outfit actually be genius?]
[...doesn't explain all the belts on the bare skin of his forearms, though.]
We won't go too far out today. Just enough to give you a taste.

Excuse me. That was rude.
[They start flinging more water at the Torment several times in succession. The quick strikes don't have much power behind them, but they just keep waving their wand angrily, hoping that enough small hits will do something. By the time they register that Rhodonite was apparently missing, they hear her voice shouting. At least they don't have to worry about a missing member.]

Slight addendum to the plan! Do what's natural but if it involves disappearing or anything, warn everyone first! The last thing we need is someone lobbing fire into an area they don't know an ally is in. Meanwhile, great job!
[Especially Siren! That's giving it what for! The last Torment pauses, briefly acknowledging the sudden appearance of Rhodonite...]
[Then decides to take care of two birds with one stone, and lashes out to scoop up Fortissimo and lob her straight at Rhodonite.]

[Oops, no time for that, there’s a kouhai coming toward her at Mach ouch. Sorry, Fortissimo, your aerial recovery skill is three worlds from now in a treasure chest. Instead Rhodonite is going to do the math in her head and stand in the flying girl’s path, dropping her weapon to the ground and digging her back heel in to catch Fortissimo. She’s got super strength, it’ll be fine-
She has a split second to recognize that, no, it will not be fine, as she slides back one, two, three meters before she just doesn’t have the leverage, she comes up off the ground with a squawk of surprise, and they’re both thrown clear. The instinctive feeling she can’t disappear again right now doesn’t help either, even if she wanted to.]

[Siren tries to do a more powerful blast of water, but gets distracted by Fortissimo's yelling. They look over, and the water they had gathered splashes uselessly on the ground.]

[Zeke isn't TOO worried. A toss like that is well within a Dreamer's enhanced ability to handle with no more than a scuff or a bruise. But that Torment had gotten some pretty good speed out of that yeet.]
Siren! Distract the Torment while your team recovers!
[It's also a valuable lesson! Sentries may be most suited to shielding their allies, but in a group, everyone could end up in any role at a minute depending on how a battle shifts. Siren's water-control power is certainly versatile enough, in theory, to protect as well as attack.]

There's certainly no shortage of water around for Dreamer Siren to use if they so desire, as the double whammy of Fortissimo and Rhodonite cannonballing backwards into the marshy glades kicks up a mighty puddle.
From within it, a voice weakly pipes up.... ]

[ Fortissimo struggles to her feet, wringing out her cape. Then she's summoning another sword and looking for the next Torment to whale on. ]

[She looks like a drowned rat, mind; her hair is a menace and her dress hangs limp. Sure be great if their powerset included "great hair day all the time", but nope, she'll just have to deal. Instead she pushes up to her feet, glances over at Fortissimo, and instead starts back the way she came.]
Left my weapon behind, though. Gotta get that first-! [Even if she wanted to disappear again, she's trailing water, magic can't hide that. Could she... reverse the polarity on it or something? No, not without her bass, she can feel it. So the only option is-] Siren, Fortissimo! Cover me, please!
[It's not that far away, objectively! She just needs to not get caught on the way there, and not trip over her own wet shoes. Fifty meters, forty, thirty-]

[Siren switches targets to the Torments that were going after the girls. They have to run up to close the distance, but luckily that puts them in range of the water the other two fell into.
Siren tries more of their successive fast water strikes, this time with a bit more power behind them, thanks to the already there water. It may not be the most defensive idea, but their goal is to distract the Torments from the others.]
