[It definitely does come off as a scolding, initially; that said, it's also the second time she's gotten it in just over a month from two very different personalities, so maybe people are on to something. The wink... helps, but she's a little off-balance still.]

I wish I could feel that way myself, but... like you said, it'll come with time, hopefully. I'll trust you on it for now. [Another deep breath.] I don't mind some experiments, though. Maybe I'll learn something new.

Since you don't have a Mentor yourself yet, I'll see if I can't bring along some of my graduates who can help us along. That way, you can go a little further out from here than you'd get a chance to otherwise and really start pushing your limits!
