[it's still unclear just when Sonic really awoke as a Dreamer, but he's been doing this for a while now. Without any sort of range attack and often fighting alone, he's had to get creative with how he fights and dodges in unstable areas of the Dream Sphere. He's also had to get quite bold when it comes to closing the distance in battle too... The spray of debris getting thrown back him would have been a concern were he still there, but alas... He seems ready to live up to his Dreamer name this time around.
Hopefully, it doesn't get to that point.
Sonic still needs to dodge the attacks being thrown at him though, so Rhodonite's attempts to keep him at a distance isn't a complete waste... But she's having a hard time keeping track of him while he's able to follow her movements a little more easily. All those attacks have to originate from her, after all... So he gives her a second to breathe before sliding in next to her hiding spot all casual like-]

[He braces his hands against the floor before he kicks his legs up and around in a windmill. He's left enough room for Rhodonite to slip out, but it might be a tight spot with the potted plant in the way. Once he's physically chased her out of her hiding spot though, Sonic turns his windmill into a backspin before getting back to his feet and zipping off again. His strategy must be to hit and run, but he's made it unclear what his purpose is]
