Sam has found a nice little arrangement in delicate pinks; lightly scented, they would not go amiss placed on a mirror on top of an end table or a mantel somewhere in the household. Not neutral, perhaps, but it is cherry blossom season, right? Maybe she could be forgiven.
She probably should have included at least one more masculine candle. Oh well. And really, who would have expected her to choose pink?
Sam is the type to ask who the birthday boy is; she's momentarily dismayed because what could she give--but the starry motif does strike an idea in her head. And of course, Mimoza is only too happy to talk about (and point out) her son. Despite being a few inches shorter than the good lady, she can pick out the short king in the crowd, and moves to accost him. Sam and shame are only passing acquaintances.]
