[Amane can't help but stare at Junna as she recounts her trips, eyes wide and glittering in a mix of awe and envy. Perhaps there should be something said about how supportive her parents were of her other interests-- something that made them a bit more complicated and nuanced compared to the "uncaring adults who wanted to squash her dreams"-- but he wasn't about to comment upon it now. He was just too impressed at all of the cool stuff she's already seen!! Maybe if he had come clean about his interests sooner, while she was still at Promised Academy, they could have wrangled together an Astronomy Club of their own, but alas...

He opens his mouth, about to ask her more, but her own question draws him up short. Abruptly, he closes his mouth again, cheeks flushing once more, his fingers twiddling self-consciously with each other.]

Oh, um... when I was little, I guess...? There was this picture book I used to read all the time about these rabbits who went into space, and I always thought it would be nice to see the same things they did...

[... oof. Now that he's said it out loud, it was kind of embarrassing, wasn't it? There was more to it, of course-- the book was a constant companion of his during his hospital stays and sick days, and imagining his own space adventures had helped distract him through some of the worst of it-- but that felt too heavy to randomly drop on Junna like that. Maybe it was for the best to divert the topic a little...!]

You really mean it, though...? Taking me to one of those observatories someday? It wouldn't be too much trouble for you, would it?

[Said as if he doesn't cause trouble for others on the regular, but like-- this was different, okay!!]
