Tohoku Regional Fair, 7/7
And there are stalls serving local foods. Junna can be found perusing and looking through them. She has a small canvas shopping bag -- she doesn't cook as much as Lisa, but she can get ingredients for her trips. And, more than that, she can get things to surprise Lisa with! There's advantages to having a girlfriend who likes to cook. But it's also a good way to have a lunch as she walks.
She's sampling things here and there. Various delicious foods: things like a little bowl of fried rice, some takoyaki, and a couple of foreign foods. She's had a crepe and a slider, too. She also usually has a drink -- something nice and cold, like iced tea or a bottle of water.
It's time for a food adventure!]
Sploot, 7/11
She was on an upper floor. And despite her best efforts... no, it's too hot. She cannot carry on. This is why she is lying in the middle of the floor, arms and legs spread out, eyes unfocused and staring at the ceiling.]
...it's...
[She's trying to trick her brain into cooperating.]
...cool and relaxing here. Heat is a state of mind...

... Junna-san?
[he crouches down next to her, a towel wrapped around his neck and his hair sticking to his forehead]
Are you okay...?
[silly-billy, she's clearly not! After a second, he reaches into his canvas bag to pull out a small bottle of (still cool!) water and offers it to her without a word]

[There is a weak wave up at him. But when he gives her the bottle of water, she puts it against her forehead. Then she sighs, opens it, and drinks down several gulps.
Junna sits up after that and wipes the sweat off her brow.] Ah... aaah. Thanks...

[spoken like he's cheering on a young child with their project. His head really must be empty... Or at least struggling like everyone else is]
No worries. Even though the air conditioning has broken down, at least it's not a power outage. [he raises his bag slightly] Fridges still work!
Though buying ice cream seems like it would still be a bad idea.
Post-Aquarium | closed to Lisa, 7/21
They're on their way back, now, having had time to see all of the cute fish, for Junna to make faces at the penguins, and -- of course -- to get a picture together in front of a tank with the dolphins behind them. They've gotten off the train, and it's the walk back to their apartment. Well, Karen's apartment -- but it's also theirs. Junna has her phone out, with the photo of her and Lisa together in front of the tank. Junna's wearing the same button-up cream-colored shirt and skirt that she is wearing, her bag over a shoulder. In the photo, one arm is around Lisa -- and the other hand is making a peace sign.
Junna looks sideways at Lisa. She smiles, cheerfully, at her.] I'd say we make a cute couple, hm? [A beat.] Want me to send it to you?
[Her other hand, the one not holding her phone, is in Lisa's. She has been a little clingy on her way home. She imagines Lisa doesn't mind. The sun is getting lower in the sky; it's still warm out, if not scorching hot, even if it's later. After dinner. Such are the woes of daylight hours during summer.
But Junna doesn't mind that much, either, right now.]

That same bright smile is on her face now, as Junna's question comes to her, and she nods enthusiastically.]
I'm a little biased, but probably at least top three that were in there today. And yes, please! I'm going to try really hard not to show it to everyone I know like four times? [Lisa laughs warmly.] But no promises.

She sends Lisa the photo, then slides her phone into her bag.] Share away! I'll be doing the same, no doubt.
I have to say, though... going home together is an improvement.

[The last comment, though, makes her grin, even as something melts inside her into a happy, gooey mess.]
You have no idea. I got so used to going back to an empty apartment... this makes my days so much brighter. You make my days brighter, even if I think I tell you that several times a day.
