⭐ Who: Illya and you!
⭐ When: The first half of April
⭐ Where: In the Dream Sphere
⭐ What: Of course powers go wild just when Illya decides to practice..
[ Illya knows she has to get stronger. Considering the sheer amount of those wild Disturbances they've had lately, the girl knows she has to try and practice more, especially when she knows she still isn't very strong at all compared to other Dreamers.
Hence why you might come across the young girl if you're out in the Dream Sphere. Dreamer Prisma seems to at least have moved on from the zones that are for utter beginners, but she's still sticking to anything that doesn't rise above a medium level of risk for now.
.. though Prisma might not be the first thing you'd notice if you encounter her. No, rather than the young Dreamer, there's a ball of energy - which you might recognize as her standard attack, if you've seen it - heading your way. Not flying through the air as it always does, though. No, it's.. bouncing across the ground like a kangaroo, weirdly enough..?
It hasn't reached you yet, so there's time to dodge or otherwise avoid it, but there is a shriek of: ]
W-Watch out, they bounce!
[ That's definitely Illya's voice. And she sounds so alarmed, even though it's not like this bouncing ball is super threatening or anything.. It's like the world's most anticlimactic horror movie. ]

Oh.
Sonic just politely side steps the bouncing ball of energy, head following it as it bounces past him. When Prisma comes running by, the only indication that he's talking to her is how he tilts his head towards her before pointing at the orb]
So did you need someone to catch that?
no subject
[ Apparently this is the single thing that could distract her from running after those projectiles in the first place, since the girl suddenly stops right in her tracks.. Mostly so she can give him a half-shocked, half-confused expression. ]
You can't catch those! That's the problem, they're-- they're dangerous! [ Maybe not as dangerous as other attacks, given the fact that she isn't exactly the most powerful Dreamer around or anything..
But she still can't help but worry about someone getting hurt if they try touching one of them. It'd be her responsibility if they did!! ]
no subject
Sonic crosses his arms in front of him as he thinks about it. There's barely a pause before he points at the orb steadily bouncing away from them]
I don't know, that just makes it sound like we ought to catch it. So that it doesn't run into anyone else, y'know?
no subject
She sure got caught up in the shock enough to forget for a moment that the ball was still rolling..
A fact she's realising really quickly now, letting out a very loud yelp as she already starts running after it. Maybe you should come with her, Sonic.. Just to make sure she doesn't accidentally hurt herself with how freaked out she seems right now.. ]
C-Come back! If it's my power, why won't it come back even if I call it..?!
[ .. yeah, she definitely sounds like she's about to cry.
Clearly making a great first impression here. ]
no subject
Prisma gets a second's warning before she hears a quick;] Excuse me!
[and then he's just going to SCOOP her up like a princess and take off after the orb, noticeably faster than a regular Dreamer. It seems easy enough to catch up to Prisma's wayward magic this way!]
It's your power, right? Maybe you need to make it disappear instead of trying to get it to move around!
no subject
[ She almost yelps.
Almost.
Because yes, it's surprising to be scooped up with such little warning, but before she can fully scream about it, the girl suddenly grows incredibly quiet instead. Mostly because she's realising that she has been scooped off her feet, yes, but not in the sort of way where she's falling through the air. No, instead she's.. being held in someone's arms.. I-In a princess carry, of all things..?
This has never happened to Illya. She doesn't know how to deal. For a moment the ball is entirely gone from her mind, even though he's bringing it up. Instead she just stares up at him, stammering for a moment or two until she manages to say: ]
A-- A prince..?
[ THIS ISN'T THE TIME, ILLYA..!! ]
no subject
Not quite!
[y'know, the confidence with which he's carrying her, jumping over or around obstacles and still running almost full speed after the orb of light - something they were steadily catching up with - is kind of impressive. This can't possibly be the first time he's done something like this]
I like to think I'm more of a knight than a prince though! 'Knight of the Wind' has a pretty good ring to it, don't you think? [he laughs] Once we get closer to your magic, try focusing on making it disappear, 'kay? Don't worry if it doesn't work, we'll figure something out.
no subject
That's definitely knight-worthy in her eyes. ]
I-- I'll try.
[ She has to at least try, right? Even though she couldn't make it disappear before, maybe there's just something else she has to try. She certainly can't give up when he's doing so much for her here, anyway. ]
.. thank you for helping me out so much. [ Considering they're still catching up on the ball and she's too far away from her magic to do something about it right away, she might as well do something else useful.
Like properly thanking him for what he's doing here. ]
You're being so nice about it, even though you don't even know me.. A-And you're so reliable.. [ Nothing better to give this girl dokis than that last thing, honestly. Reliable older male teens? That's a big brother type. ]
no subject
Priorities, right?]
Awww, c'mon now, lil'miss! [he laughs, bright and cheerful] You're going to make be blush! And thank me after we get that runaway magic back under control. [in English;] Hold tight!
[he can't Boost when carrying something - he's carefree not careless - but that doesn't mean he can't use his momentum to propel himself forward, further closing the distance between the bouncing orb of magic and themselves. He lands smoothly before continuing his run; he's used to free running in the real world, but with how things work in the Dream Sphere? Cake walk]
How much closer do you need to be? [because they're almost on top of it now]
no subject
[ Hold on, she's trying to snap herself out of thinking about him real quick here, okay. It's not that easy when she's only just meeting him for the first time and he's already leaving this strong of an impression on her..
But it's not like Prisma doesn't realise the situation isn't still serious, so she does her best to get her mind back together. At least enough to think about the present problem. ]
I think this is probably close enough, it's just-- um, I.. I don't really know what to do..
[ If only she did. The entire problem is that she was running after the ball since she didn't know how to make it stop or disappear. ]
I could try concentrating for a bit and see if I can get rid of it that way, but.. could you keep up with it in the meantime..? [ Sure, right now he's making keeping up with it look effortless.
But she doesn't know how much effort he's actually using. For all she knows, he could be absolutely tiring himself out right now by running so quickly after the ball. ]
no subject
Nothing to it then. He'll just have to lead by example]
Relax! [even in Engrish, he sounds so at ease, like there's no where else in the world he'd rather be] Leave that part to me. I'll make sure we stay on track.

At least it does mean she's instantly willing to believe the words. Surely no one would say something like that so confidently if they didn't believe they could live up to it, right? So rather than further fussing about it, the young girl tries to put the worry out of her mind, just relying on Sonic to keep running. To make sure they won't lose the ball of energy.
Instead she focuses on what she can do. Which, in this case, means sucking in a deep breath of air, closing her eyes.. and doing her best to focus. She has never tried dismissing her power before, but surely it must be possible. If she made it, then she can.. unmake it, right?
For a few moments Prisma says nothing. She just rests there in his arms while he runs, looking like she's trying really hard to concentrate, judging by the frown on her face. She breathes in, out, in her head casting something that almost feels like a desperate prayer for the attack to vanish..
.. and then it seemingly does. The bigger ball splits up into various smaller balls of energy, and those then slowly fade away until there's nothing left.
Not that Prisma knows that's what's happened. She still has her eyes closed, even after the attack has disappeared. ]

In the Dream Sphere, when he's not using his Boost ability, his speed is constant and takes very little energy for him to maintain. Agility is something he's learned over time and is second nature now. Should have seen him running into walls when he first started, made a cute little startled 'wah!' pose and everything! But we don't talk about those dark days. Really, stamina is hardly a concern in a place that operates on Dream Logic. More so when the Dreamer themselves keeps fit in real life too.
While Prisma focuses on getting her magic back under control, Sonic keeps mindful to make the run as smooth as possible for her. Since he is keeping an eye on the runaway magic orb though, he does get to see it split up like some very cute, mochi consistency firework]
Oh!
[Prisma will feel him taking a few long, loping steps before he skids to a stop a short ways away from where the orb disappeared. He's going to at least wait until her eyes are opened before he puts her down though]
Will you look at that? You did it!
no subject
Thankfully that doesn't seem to be the problem though, and with her eyes open it takes little effort for him to move her back down onto her own feet. Even if Prisma is still staring in surprise, looking around her to make sure he isn't fooling her and there isn't some large ball of energy still hopping around somewhere around here. ]
I did..?
[ It sounds like she can hardly believe it.
When she's sure she can't see her magic anywhere anymore, she turns to look at Sonic instead, her eyes wide with surprise and confusion. ]
Are you sure you didn't do that..? [ What if he's just saying it to make her feel better!! He was capable of running really fast, so that clearly must mean Sonic has some pretty amazing powers as a Dreamer. From Prisma's point of view, anyway. ]
no subject
Nope. That was all you, lil'miss!
That would be a pretty nifty power, huh? Being able to turn off someone else's... [he laughs after thinking about it for a second] Then again, that would be pretty scary in it's own way. Probably better that it doesn't exist.
[then, sounding a lot softer than he has been;] How ya feeling?
no subject
[ Apparently the answer isn't so simple, even though the question technically is. She's relieved for sure, but also still overwhelmed, and now confused to boot.. It's a mixed bag of feelings, and in the end the girl's gaze ends up dropping for a moment, a hint of something pink climbing up on her cheeks. ]
I should thank you.
[ Decidedly not an answer to his question, huh. ]
If you hadn't been here, I don't think I would have been able to do any of this.. [ Prisma's hands move to semi-nervously (or, let's be real, perhaps just flustered) play with a strand of her long pale hair, twirling it around her fingers. ] Y-You were so cool.
no subject
I am pretty cool, aren't I? [and then he laughs at that, confident and self-assured. It's only natural, after all]
But you're welcome! Don't worry about it so much. We've all been there. [just seeing her reaction seems to be answer enough for him. Poor girl is so shy she can't even recognize her own achievements! ... It reminds Sonic of someone he knows] So give yourself some more credit. That's your magic that ran wild, but you were the one who got it back under control, all right?
[he leans down a little bit to ruffle her hair]
I just gave you a little boost, that's all.
no subject
She's never going to wash her hair again.
The ruffle of her hair does get her to aim her gaze back up to actually look at him though, the blush on her cheeks practically burning at this point. ]
I, um-- I-- Will I see you again?!
[ Girl, please, you're not in a Disney movie.. What are you doing!!
She's saying it with such excitement in her tone too. RIP Prisma. ]
no subject
Come on, that just makes it sound like I'll up and disappear! [he does move around a lot, so it's not like it's an unreasonable question though...] I just moved here, so you'll definitely see me around town.
... Oh, right, intros are kinda important.
My name's Sonic. Dreamer Sonic! Nice to meet you, lil'miss.
no subject
[ Even his name sounds cool. There's no way she's going to forget that name. In fact, she's kind of glad to hear that it's just because he's new that she's never noticed him before, since she can't imagine how she otherwise would always have overlooked someone like this. ]
I-- I'm Dreamer Prisma! And.. um.. I-I'm often training at either Twinkle Keep or Stardust Sanctuary! J.. Just so you know! [ YEAH. Just so you know, Sonic! For no particular reason!
N-Not like she's hoping you'll ever seek her out.. even once.. or anything...... ]
no subject
... Twinkle Keep or Stardust Sanctuary, huh? [those names sound oddly familiar and he can't quite pinpoint why... Almost as if they're from his neck of the woods (he has no neck of the woods). He snaps his fingers after thinking about it for a moment]
Good to know! I'm still learning my way around this part of the Dream Sphere, so having a name or two to work with definitely helps. Thanks, Prisma. I'll swing by to say 'hello' if I find my way to the Keep or Sanctuary.
[wink]
no subject
Is this what it feels to be noticed... It kind of feels like it.. Prisma isn't even able to say anything for a moment. She just stares at him, looking surprised, like she can't believe she is actually experiencing this right now. Is this just a dream? In the regular sort of way, not the Dream Sphere kind of way? It would explain why her powers were acting so strangely in the first place..
So by the time he winks at her, she's slowly reaching up to just.. pinch her own cheek..
Which, of course, isn't actually making her go back to the waking world. Not that easily. Mostly because she isn't genuinely trying to wake up, since then all of this would be over!! ]
I think I'm dreaming.. [ She mumbles. ]
no subject
His smile does go away but he looks a little worried when she slowly reaches up to pinch herself]
Uh... You okay?
[his ears twitch when he hears her mumbling to herself.... She seems a little dazed? Sonic thinks about it for a second before reaching over--
And gently tapping the top of her head in a chopping motion. Were she older or a young boy, he'd probably put the tiniest bit more oomph in it, but she seemed like she's pretty new to this Dreaming business. That last thing he'd want to do is scare her. But he can't resist-]
Hey, I'm not so scary that you're trying to wake up to get away from me, are you?
no subject
N-No! [ She quickly answers.
That's just about the last thing she'd want him to think! ]
It's because--
[ No. Nope. She can't say it. It's too embarrassing, so.. ]
.. I have to go!
[ She's just.. turning around..
.. and running away..
Clearly making a perfect first impression here. ]
