( open ) i'm looking up my symptoms

⭐ Who: Illya and you!
⭐ When: The first half of April
⭐ Where: In the Dream Sphere
⭐ What: Of course powers go wild just when Illya decides to practice..

[ Illya knows she has to get stronger. Considering the sheer amount of those wild Disturbances they've had lately, the girl knows she has to try and practice more, especially when she knows she still isn't very strong at all compared to other Dreamers.

Hence why you might come across the young girl if you're out in the Dream Sphere. Dreamer Prisma seems to at least have moved on from the zones that are for utter beginners, but she's still sticking to anything that doesn't rise above a medium level of risk for now.

.. though Prisma might not be the first thing you'd notice if you encounter her. No, rather than the young Dreamer, there's a ball of energy - which you might recognize as her standard attack, if you've seen it - heading your way. Not flying through the air as it always does, though. No, it's.. bouncing across the ground like a kangaroo, weirdly enough..?

It hasn't reached you yet, so there's time to dodge or otherwise avoid it, but there is a shriek of: ]

W-Watch out, they bounce!

[ That's definitely Illya's voice. And she sounds so alarmed, even though it's not like this bouncing ball is super threatening or anything.. It's like the world's most anticlimactic horror movie. ]

Oh, I'm not-- I'm not sure I can make sure everyone is okay..

[ There's definitely some guilt in her voice as she says it. After all, when Prisma raises her gaze, she can definitely see the ball of energy bouncing off into the distance.. Already too fast for her to catch up with it now, considering she stopped for a moment to check up on the other girl instead.

It doesn't feel great, but Illya also knows she can't change anything about it now. She chose to help Colette - so she should stick with that. It means she's doing at least one thing here right.

Still, when she looks over at the other, it's with a very concerned gaze. It's kind of sad too, mostly because of the guilt. ]

You're really not hurt though..?

What was that? It was not like your usual regular attack, was it? I'm not sure if I can help either but. We can at least try warn others while we figure this out?

[Colette isn't necessarily following the other's train of thought about her wanting to at least make sure that Colette is alright and get that right amid all of this. She tries to reassure the other though, waving her hands to try and brush off the concern. Because at least as far as she can tell from that quick check that she doesn't seem to be bleeding or bruised or anything of the sort.]

I think I'm alright. Nothing seems broken. No bleeding.

[ The girl lets out a breath - it's almost a sigh of relief. A sigh of a little bit of a relief, let's keep it at that. She's still worried about her powers, so it's hard for full relief to set in, but at least she's glad Colette is alright..

And she slowly shakes her head at the question. ]

No, it's not like my usual powers at all. I mean-- um, the ball is the same, but.. usually I just fire it off, and then when it hits the nearest surface, it explodes against it? But when I started practicing here today, all of a sudden it didn't do that. Instead it's just bouncing all over the place.

[ Which wouldn't be worrying if not for the fact that there are other people in this place. Other people that can sure get hit by the balls. ]

I thought it seemed a little different. But ah, I guess if we try follow and warn others if we are quick enough. Maybe it'll stop after a bit?

[Colette isn't sure how this works. She is just guessing. Hoping that will be the case. That they might hurry and manage to warn others that nobody gets hurt from this. That they might be able to at least help prevent that much. She shifts in trying to stand, to get up on her feet and glances to the direction of the ball of energy. She isn't sure if there might be some way to stop it but at the least they could hopefully catch up and warn others. If there is anyone else that might be in the direction of the ball of energy.]

.. W-Well.. Let's try.

[ It's better than doing nothing. She would feel so guilty if she just allowed the thing to bounce off into the distance, leaving it for whoever is out there to deal with..

So she glances at Colette, giving the other girl a grateful nod for wanting to help before adding: ] Let's go!

[ It's then that she starts running. Because the ball is so big that it's moving away from them rather rapidly - making Illya not even sure whether they're actually getting closer to it, even now they're running. ]

It's-- [ She manages to get out between wheezing breaths from the physical exertion. ] It's going so fast..!

[Colette nods, following when the other starts running. She might not necessarily be sure on just how to stop this but at the least in the meantime while they figure something out they can hopefully help warn others that might be nearby. She at least wants to try.

So she follows, trying to pace herself and her breathing as best she can as she follows after the other, after the ball of energy.]

It is! Just don't lose sight of it. We'll figure something. Or at least we can warn anyone nearby to be careful.

[ It's true, they can at least call out if they see anyone else in the direction of where the ball is bouncing off to.. Though the girl sure hopes they'd get out of the way in time.

It's hard to think and run at the same time, but something does suddenly occur to the girl as she keeps moving. ]

Don't you have some sort of power that could maybe stop it..?

[ She may be pretty sure her own currently screwed up powers would probably just make all of this worse, but maybe Colette can help..? Her powers are probably normal, right? ]

Um. Well. I don't think my chakrams would do much. I'm not sure that is exactly uh, physical? Solid? For me to hit it with that. And I'm not sure Angel Feathers would do much either. But now you have me wondering. If your abilities changed. Maybe other's changed too. Maybe mine did. I'm not sure if it's a good idea for me to try or not?

[Colette half muses aloud to herself near the end there, trailing off as she tries to keep her breath as they run. Panting a little as she tries to keep up with this energy ball thing and then also not get too far ahead of the other in wanting to make sure Illya is alright. Even as she tries to keep an eye out for anyone that might potentially be in the path of this thing.]

[ .. Well..

That is a very good question.

Illya honestly hadn't considered that this might be a problem with more people than just her - especially with how quickly she tends to blame herself for pretty much anything that happens. She thought that maybe her powers were just screwing up for some reason. Maybe she just can't control them well enough. Or could it really be everyone, not just her..?

It's very difficult to think about while she's actively trying to run at the same time, but-- ]

M-Maybe we should try it.

[ Even if it's a little scary. Illya really doesn't want to know how much worse this situation could get if Colette's powers would screw up too. But, it's just-- ]

I don't know how else to stop it.. [ She admits, sounding a little defeated. ]

I guess we can try. I just hope that won't make things worse. I can only do Angel Feathers - that is, um. Sort of, these rings of light appear and attack the enemy. I'm not sure if that might work against your attack. Or if my chakrams might be able to hit it. But we can try.

[Colette pauses briefly, in summoning her wings in case she has to rush ahead a little in flying to keep up with this attack. If hers won't be the most effective against it. She then readies her ability, trying to aim for the ball of energy ahead.

"Holy wings, I beg of thee to reveal thy glory. Angel Feathers!"

She calls out, summoning rings of light that beam down. Whether that is any use in stopping the other's attack might be debatable but she at least tries.]

[ It's kind of nice to have a description in advance of what's about to happen. Especially when the girl is currently worked up enough that having too many more surprises looks like it might just make her pass out..

And thankfully Colette's attack does seem like what it's described as - especially compared to the weird way Illya's own magic has been warped. The rings of light beam down, right at her attack, and Illya hopes it will make the ball disappear, but..

.. instead it just starts glowing with the same colour of light as what beamed down from Colette's rings. It makes Illya let out a half-confused, half-startled sound. ]

D-Did-- Did they combine?!

[ It doesn't seem to stop the ball from bouncing either.. It's just that now it's bouncing and shiny! ]

H-huh??? No, that's -- that's not supposed to happen? Did I just make it worse?

[Noooooo! This is why she had been unsure on trying anything with her abilities. Colette flails, her eyes widening as she quickly hastens to rush after it. To try and warn anyone that might be nearby and potentially in the way of the attack while they figure how to stop it. Her wings are still out as she is distracted, as she might not even immediately realize she is flying as she tries to chase after the attack. What she might do if she did catch up is maybe unclear but even so she can at least keep an eye on things?]

I.. I'm not sure..!

[ All of this is new to Illya too, after all. It doesn't necessarily look worse, thankfully, but it didn't really solve the situation either.. It just makes the ball of energy a whole lot brighter as it bounces all over the place.

Maybe they just have to worry about it potentially blinding anyone while it's this bright..

But as Illya turns her attention momentarily away from the ball and over towards the other girl, she lets out a gasp as she realises something. ]

Ah..! W-Wait, Colette! Be careful, you still have those wings..!

[ Which the other doesn't seem to fully realise, and the last thing Illya wants is for the girl to fly a little bit too fast by accident and just slam right into the ball of energy. That would surely hurt! ]

Hm? Oh. Right.

[She has been getting more used to the wings. It's just a work in progress with obviously only using them with being in the Dream Sphere. Colette lands, lowering that her feet touch the ground before she dismisses them, not wanting to get too far ahead of the other. Not wanting to lose track of the energy ball they were chasing after either, she keeps glancing from it to the other to keep the other in sight, only continuing once Illya is closer, gesturing for the other to keep going.]

Let's keep going. You see anyone ahead?

[ Illya definitely does keep running, at least! Especially now she can actually keep up with the other.. It'd sure be convenient if she could fly too, but Illya knows that she's only got her own legs to count on, even though they are carrying her as fast as they can..! ]

N-No, thankfully!

[ Not yet, anyway. But every single meter that doesn't have someone in the path of the ball is a good meter as far as Illya is concerned.. ]

I.. um..

[ Maybe this isn't the right moment, considering they're running and all, but Illya just can't help but remark: ]

I didn't know about your wings..! [ Look, it just surprised her so much that she has to bring it up. ]

Ah, that's okay. I don't always use them. So. Of course not everyone might know.

[Colette isn't sure if she should apologize for not mentioning it before or something. But for now she is trying to focus more on the situation at hand than dealing with her wings. She herself is at least more used to that after doing this for a bit at this point. Colette shifts and tries to keep going in following but also not letting the other get too far behind. Keeping an eye on things ahead in case anyone is around, if she sees movement besides the energy ball itself.]
